01In detail
A clear starting point for the project team
A building project brings together different people and responsibilities. Project management starts by agreeing how the team will work together and what support the owner needs.

Responsibilities and communication
We discuss the owner, consultants and contractor involved in the project and establish our coordination role. The appointment sets out the services, communication arrangements and deliverables, so the team understands which questions OAN will help coordinate and who is responsible for the work.
Information and decisions
Planning and design depend on information from the owner and the project's specialists. We help coordinate that input, communicate outstanding questions and bring decisions to the people responsible. Architectural design and application work are included where they form part of the agreed appointment.
02In detail
Coordination as the project moves to site
Communication continues as the design becomes construction work. Our project management role connects the team around the information and decisions needed at each agreed stage.

Owner, consultant and contractor coordination
We help communicate questions, responses and agreed next steps between the owner, design consultants and contractor. If an issue affects the design, the appropriate professional addresses it within their scope. OAN's specific construction-stage involvement is established for the project.
Project management and construction administration
Project management focuses on coordination across the project. Construction administration provides architectural support during construction, including design questions and agreed site reviews. OAN offers both services; the appointment explains how they work together for your building and the level of involvement commissioned.

05Common questions
Questions about project management
Does OAN offer project management?
Yes. We offer project management, with coordination and communication support through the agreed stages of your project. Share your property, proposed work and the team already involved so we can define the responsibilities and deliverables you need.
Can project management cover planning, design and construction?
We can discuss support across those stages or for a particular part of the project. The scope depends on the work, the team and your needs as the owner. Our appointment establishes the stages and coordination responsibilities included.
How is project management different from construction administration?
Project management coordinates people, information and decisions across the agreed project stages. Construction administration focuses on architectural support during construction, including design questions and site reviews. OAN offers both; your appointment defines the role and deliverables of each.
What should I bring to the first conversation?
Bring the property address, a description of the proposed work, any available drawings and details of the consultants or contractor already involved. Explain where you need coordination support and the decisions ahead. We can then discuss a scope suited to the project.
Discuss project management for your building
Planning a home, commercial space or multi-unit building? Share the location, your goals and the stage you are at. We can discuss whether OAN Architect is the right fit.
